Gen 6 – Why does Subaru disguise Thule models as their own model #s??

I’ve bought a couple accessories recently, and have noticed that Subaru uses last year’s model (buys up Thule discontinued items and sells as new) or corners the market on a specific model so it isn‘t able to bought elsewhere. For instance, I buy the Subaru Cargo Box and it very clearly states when opened that it is the Thule Force 625–no Subaru branding or anything making it a Subaru product.

Examples in the images below:

The “Crossbar Set – Aero Extended”, SOA567X070 is:
-Thule Evo Wingbar 135cm
-Foot pack is the 450R Crossroad foot pack.

For the “Cargo Carrier – Extended”, SOA567C031 is the Thule Force 625 (XL size), which is comparable to the current Thule Force XT – XL.

Anyone have feedback on why SoA has to cobrand everything — is it just to make it exclusive and price accordingly?

Bonus question: Does anyone on here have a list of sku’s with the manufacturer‘s model #s to compare like I did above?
