Gen 6 – Need help from the 2.4L experts. Went home new T-XT 650 miles with 3/4″ overflow oil.

Hey guys, I’m officially part of this big family now, but I started off on the wrong foot. I always check the oil after I buy a new car and a few times it has been either under or overfilled…but never this much. And when I was coming home from there. Oh well; that’s what happens when you assume a terrible dealer’s service department can get things right. And they’ve had the car since last Friday, so it’s not like they took it off the truck in a hurry. Anyway, it was like an inch overfilled when I checked it hot yesterday after I got home (about 10 minutes after turning the engine off). Now cold (if you call 100F inside my garage ‘cold’ Ha ha. It’s 111F outside), it’s 3/4″ overheated. I’m really worried that this much over max may have affected the crankshaft, not lubricating my engine properly, which means it will probably wear out too soon after the war, as the experts say. . This is my first Subaru and I was hoping the dipstick wouldn’t be pushed up to bottom, but it’s not. And my garage is perfectly flat. I don’t notice anything weird in the oil, and the coolant tank is also overflowing (like by 1/2″), so at least it shouldn’t be coolant in the oil. I the Austin dealer wanted to take it to the El Paso dealer but I will pull the oil myself if needed. I was planning on changing the oil at max 1K miles, but I still need to order an oil filter and a magnetic drain plug. Along with a hitch, and all 4 splash guards. I hope you guys have good news for me. Ha ha Thank you. I have 2 more questions. First, does anyone know the threads on the oil drain plug? To buy a magnetic drain plug. And finally, I expected the 2.4T engine to push the car along with a noticeable amount of feel when it got on the throttle a bit even at 2K rpm. My OB T-XT does none of this. It begins to accelerate as if there was no turbo, as in idling. It starts from rest at speed if pushed a bit, but there is no typical turbo boost like all my current and previous vehicles do, even with 2.0T engines and as heavy. Maybe it’s something that kicks in after the 1k mile break-in? I hope so, because I was a little disappointed by this. Even if I downshift in manual mode to increase the rpm, I feel zero immediate boost. Thanks to the gang. PS: ‘Prefix’ has up to ‘Gen 7’. My ’24 looks identical to the ’23s, so it’s still a Gen 6, right? Just checking. I wonder why Gen 7 is there if it’s at least a year away. Thank you again.
