Hello. I’m so sorry if this answer had been answered many times. Please feel free to show me the correct thread that I should’ve found.
I have 28k mi on my new Outback ’22 Onyx XT and although I try not to rev the engine unless I have to, I need tires.
I bought 2 from another Subaru owner and thought I got a great deal but when I went to the tire shop to get two more, they said that they must be the same brand??
My thinking is, who cares if it’s the same brand, but maybe if it’s a different rubber or tread.
Anyway, can someone just please explained to me what the brand has to do with why I can’t buy two new different tires? The ones I bought are OEM tires with 1,000mi and I paid fifty bucks for the two. I never rotated mine so now they are worn on the insides.
