Gen 5 – 2017 Sound settings and audio apps don’t work after getting wet

So my sunroof drains were blocked (at the bottom not the top) which led to water getting stuck in the passenger foot well. He had the radio on as stagnant water flowed around. There was a loud scream, then no sound from any of the speakers.

I’ve cleaned the ducts and the floor is mostly dry, but the speakers still don’t work? It means I can’t get any sound out of any speakers. Also, there are some items on the center console that are grayed out, including the sound settings, so I can’t dim or balance the sound. The equalizer is also grayed out, as are audio apps like aha and pandora.

I’ve done a soft reset and a hard reset of the center display unit, and still no sound. I checked all the fuses under the steering column. I disconnected the electrical harness in the passenger footwell (that’s how you find the lower channel for the sunroof – it’s also where it drains into the passenger footwell) but it’s all dry and there was nothing wrong with the harness that I could to see you

Any idea what’s going on? And how to fix it?
