Gen 3 – subaru outback 2007 2.5 Er Hc engine doesnt crank

Hello, I have a problem with subaru outback 2007 EJ25. In summary the car was driving fine on the highway, just stopped to rest for a bit left it in drive and put the handbrake on shut the engine off, after a couple of hours the engine does not crank. When i put the key in to ignition temprature gauge goes up to max temprature and stays there, the fan for the engine starts blowing, and the hazzard lights turn on, no check engine light, and on the dash it displays (Er Hc) also i was unable to put the gearbox in p position (had to press the pin near the gearshift lever to put it in to park). had the car brought in to a garage, checked a few things i thought could have caused the problem, but still no luck finding out the problem. Read some of the forums on here but couldnt find the fix for my problem here.

Things i have checked:
fuses and relays.
wiring harness and the connector in the engine bay (couldnt see any damage to it i think the wiring is fine)
temperature sensor works fine too( checked it with multimeter)
checked the ecu for water damage (no water everything is dry)
Couldnt connect to ecu to check for fault codes (tried with different readers)
battery is fully charged and in good condition
Did the procedure to check for fault codes on the dashboard (the codes are c0047 and c0071, could not get the pxxxx codes, the dash just flashed the letter (p) no numbers.

Thats all for now. Im new to the forums so sorry if i made some mistakes, could really use the all the help.
