I was losing power while driving and getting a misfire in cylinder 3, then it would randomly shut off when pulling up to a stop light and occasionally while driving. I was able to get it into my driveway, put the battery on a charger, and purchased a new alternator. After putting the battery back in and installing the new alternator, there is no power at all. The positive and negative lines were not messed with other than taking them off the battery and the power supply post on the alternator. I tried jumping it off, nothing. The door ding sounded when it was connected to a different battery, but still no power to anything else in the car. Can anyone help?
I have a 2000 Subaru Legacy Outback Limited Sedan with a no crank no start issue.
