Gen 2 – 1999 outback Feels like a misfire, but no codes…HELP!

I have a 1999 Outback Limited with 52,000 miles (yep, you read that right). I purchased it 6 months ago. It ran very nicely. I didn’t know the maintenance history so I replaced the coil, plug wires, and plugs after I had driven it for a couple months. It ran well (no change) for about a month and then developed what felt like a u-joint failure on a rear wheel drive car, vibration under slight to medium load between 2,200 and 2,600 RPM and then would go away. Under heavy load it would down shift and it was hard to tell if it was vibrating or not.

No Codes and this has such limited scan data that I couldn’t find any issues on a scanner. I really feels like a mis-fire.

I used good plugs, wires, and coil.

To diagnose, I changed all the parts back to the old stuff. No change.

Is this a Crossfire issue? Any help or direction would be appreciated.
