I upgraded from a 2022 CX-5 to a 2023 Ascent Limited with/Tech. 7 Passenger, White, Ivory Interior. I wanted a bench seat since I’m relatively young, single, no kids, and will keep the 3rd row down forever, but they gave me a good price for the car to be for sale. Bored of dark cars and a black interior was a hard no.
I was going to go fast in my turbo CX-5, so I wanted something bigger, nicer, that was completely designed for comfort. Test drove the CX-90 (great vehicle, but a little big for my garage, and would probably accelerate worse than the CX-5, it’s a 3-row Miata) and the Highlander (Getting an AWD model in a desirable without carving in Texas is very difficult and non-starter); I’m glad I gave Ascent a chance. I have to admit I’ve always shied away from Subarus because of their conservative styling, but I was immediately impressed by the comfort (seats, suspension, quietness) of this vehicle. Plan on keeping this vehicle for a long time so I guess I better get comfortable with this forum haha.
