Falken Wildpeak A/T Trail wearing faster than expected?

(EDIT: Ok, took it to discount tire and they read 8/32 in the front and 9/32 in the rear. So I think my gauge is off a bit. I’m ok with those readings. False alarm!)

I’m about to order a full size spare of the 245/60R18 and wanted to check our current tread depth of the ones on the car so I know how much to get tread to shave off on the full size spare.

To my surprise, it’s looking like we have 7/32nd left of tread after only 13,000 miles. They started at 11/32nd, so this is a loss of 4/32nd in just 13k miles…in another 13k miles they will be needing replacing. We’ve only had them on the car for 9 months.

Anyone else able to report on their tread wear for the Falken Wildpeak A/T Trails?

I’m driving to @Discount Tire this morning to have them double check the tread depth, just in case my tread reading tool is off.

I did check all 4 tires. Tread wear looks fairly even, fronts have a bit more than the rear tires, but they are all about 7/32nd left.
