I have a 2020 Accent Touring with 66,000 miles. We bought it new at Gilman Subraru in Houston, TX. We love the car and spend a lot of time driving across the United States. We service it regularly, with minimal problems. Recently, the electronic rear view mirror started heating up in digital camera mode, to the point that it has turned off several times. At first we thought it was due to driving in hot weather, but then noticed experiencing the problem during cold weather. I recently took it to a Subraru dealer and they said it wasn’t meant to be used continuously in that mode and should be limited to how long we run it. We love the mirror, mostly because it’s similar to a rearview camera we’ve used without the fifth wheel. So you can imagine our thoughts when they said to limit the usage. Does anyone have a better suggestion or insight into what is causing the problem.
We will be happy to hear your thoughts
