I’ve been lurking here for a while, finally bought an Ascent (Yay!) and will be posting in the new members section soon with details about my car and travel trailer.
I was wondering if there was a way to disable the power tailgate opening while my trailer is attached? Opening it will cause the tailgate to hit the front jack handle on the trailer.
I looked at the owner’s manual and found how to change the maximum opening of the tailgate, but not how to stop it from opening all the way.
Thanks for all the great info on this site about using an OEM kit and avoiding any kind of weight distribution system. This will be my setup that I can’t wait to try.
