Neither give a clear answer to the question of how much compressor oil is inside an OEM compressor (in my case an H6 auto climate). One says 3-5oz, one says 2oz but that’s for a semi.
My AC got various work done and refrigerant replacement so for sure has lost some of the original oil. I could see it coating the tools. Compressor is still the original.
I would like to know how much oil should be in a new OEM compressor. So far this looks like a mystery to me. FSM is saying to use the specified amount of oil but fails to list that under specifications.
