BTW do you use the Motive Power Bleeder ? I have one, works great for flushing the brake fluid. Only thing is, it can be hard to remove the cap from the MC after flushing. For some reason, you need to use channel locks to twist the cap off.
Here’s what I found for DOT4, seems Walmart has some. I use DOT3 from Prestone in my cars. I flushed four vehicles about a year ago. 2 Legacy’s, 86′ F150 and 18′ Outback.
Oh, I see why you use DOT4.
They’re used in most modern cars and trucks, because they work with ABS brakes. DOT 4 has a higher boiling point than DOT 3. You can use DOT 4 where DOT 3 is called for, but not the reverse. Using DOT 3 in a DOT 4 brake risks boiling the brake fluid.
