Buy a 2022 or better of with a 2014 H6 (normal tranmission)

Sadly my 2008 outback has stripped threads on a driveshaft mounting bolt so I am looking to purchase a new outback. Going to eventually try to repair this car, but not having luck finding a mechanic wiling to help with something I already stripped, without scheduling weeks out.

Alas…

I could buy this 2014 3.6l (non cvt tranmission, no warranty) with 106k miles outright and have no loan for around $18k https://www.wsautosalesny.com/details/used-2014-subaru-outback/96986157

Or I can get this 2020 with 35k miles, for $34k OTD ( including gold warranty for another 4 years/100k miles), but I would be financing atleast 15k of it at horrible interest rates currently (8-9%) Used 2020 Subaru Outback Limited For Sale in Glenville – Near Clifton Park & Schenectady | 4S4BTANC6L3255792

They are both limited with moon roofs, which are is my main desire in an outback. I live in Upstate NY and loved my 08 for safe driving in the snow and hiking trails up here. I am spinning my wheels on what to do since rates and car prices are so up, and wondering if going much older and owning car right is best idea… the 3.6l with old school transmission is supposed to be on of the most reliable years and configurations, so I hear?

Any thoughts??
