I assume you understand that BOTH fans must run with the AC on. This is an easy way to show that there is a problem with the fans.
However… are you sure both fans failed in the same way? I’ve been fixing things for 40+ years and this DOESN’T HAPPEN. (identical failures of similar components)
On previous generations of Subaru’s, the relays could put the fans in the SERIES connection resulting in both running at 1/2 speed. (a creative way to have multi speed fans) Anyone familiar with electronics will know this means ANY problem with the fan circuits (aka relays) would result in both fans not working.
We suggest you review the schematic diagram and do more troubleshooting before condemning both fans.
