All weather tire recommendations? | Subaru Outback Forums

My $0.02.

Falken Wildpeak AT Trails are a forum favorite. More of a snow capable (snowflare rated) highway friendly AT tire. But not too different from your Yokos and while I was a fan when I first got them, I’ve grown tired of them. Great when new… first 10,000km and first winter was amazing although snow grip was no better than a good all season highway like Defender 2. Falkens get loud with wear and tear sooner than needed. I will not buy them again.

I can’t get past CC2 for some reason. I heard a lot of good things, but also a lot of bad.

I’ve also heard great things about the Firestone Weathergrip line, and I’ve driven a Nissan Altima with them. Smooth in the dry and great in the snow.

My daughter’s car has Goodyear Weatherready…a 6 year old design that is still great. I’ll probably put these or the new Bridgestone WeatherPeak or Firestone Weathergrips on my car before next winter as the Falkens will be up to 5/32″ most likely and that’s not winter usable IMO.
