Air Condition Diagnosing Questions | Subaru Outback Forums

2011 Outback 2.5 Limited 100k miles with manual HVAC controls.

My outback blows warm air when AC is selected, recirculation mode is also selected.

The two fans under the hood and I’m assuming the compressors cycle on and off, on for no more than 3-5 seconds.

This lead me to believe that the system was low on refrigerant. I bought one of those DIY recharge kits that you connect to the low side. The gauge on the bottle reads that the system is slightly in the red/overcharged. Is this the cause of the system blowing warm/hot air? Should I get a set of manifold gauges and test the pressure of the system properly with that?

Let me know what other info I can provide
