i am searching the threads, but haven’t seen a resolution to this yet. My 2012 base model outback, driver side rear door wouldn’t open from outside, most of the time. It would open from the inside. So I took off the rear door panel, to figure out where the cable was not working. Had the panel off, but at some point, the rear door was closed. So now its closed, won’t open from outside, can’t seem to open it from inside either. The two cables were still intact, so i tried pulling on those to open the door, but they wouldn’t move it, and without much pressure, the cable with the blue tip sheathing came completely out, so there is no cable there. I can see on the inside the white plastic fork that pushes the pin down is broken, assumed thats what was causing the issue? But I can’t get the door back open now to figure this out.
Any advice here?? thanks in advance!
