2024 Onyx XT – EyeSight

I just got a 2024 onyx XT I have a question EyeSight, when driving is not looking, is it supposed to recognize the speed signs along the road and display them so the driver knows what the posted speed limit is? I have had several sight vehicles and they have always done this. The dealership is telling me it’s a tom-tom navigation function, which the XT doesn’t have. I’ve watched some YouTubes on the onyx XT, and they both show the view showing the posted speed limit. I ask for clarification, thank you. And why on earth would Subaru offer a vehicle without a native guidance system? Of course I can use Google maps, but there are times when I want to compare the two or just use the local guidance system.
