I had an annoying experience today. I brought my 2023 Ascent in to have the tires changed from the winter to all season tires that came with the car (I got it in February and had the dealer install winter tires before I took it in). I asked about the US recall, and also confirmed that my car was built on January 9th. They said there was nothing wrong with my car, and it was fine.
After a while I got a call saying that they just confirmed that Subaru Canada had sent out a bulletin and that they didn’t have to put in all seasons and that I should come pick up my vehicle with the winter tires still on. that.
I wasted 3 hours on this business and put my wheels in and out of the car. And I’ll bet when all is said and done I’ll be out of recall and they’ll be using the original tires since mine was built on January 9th.
