It seems to me that it would be fairly easy to fabricate a bracket that extended through the grill or came up from underneath the bumper. There are a lot of aftermarket light kits and brush bars and they have to mount somewhere, so there have got to be mounting points somewhere.
Plates aren’t very heavy. If I had to mount a front plate on my 2022 I might try finding a bracket that I could mount using the same double-sided tape they use to mount the emblems.
FYI, rivet nut tools come in very handy for mounting all manner of things onto automobiles. Anyone interested in fabricating a solution might want to look into one.
