2020 Outback tire tread depth specification

It’s something that can void the warranty on the parts of your AWD system that are affected by the misalignment – especially the center clutch.

Since I already knew about the 2/32″ tread depth or 1/4″ max girth difference (This is my 4th AWD Subaru) I assumed it was in the owner’s manual as well, but I couldn’t find it. It’s something you seem to get away with. almost like “goce”.I wonder if the previous generations of Subaru’s had it in the owner’s manual?

Every tire company seems to know about it. I’m a little surprised that a tire company put a new tire that didn’t match the other 3 in tread depth within 2/32.

This specification is in the factory service manual, which is not available for most.
