2020 Onyx XT | Subaru Outback Forums

We took our first Outback road trip and discovered a lot about the car, most of it positive.

1. Traveled 2648 miles with an average MPG of 31.1. This was from Seattle WA to south central Wyoming, with lots of 80 mph driving and lots of mountain passes. Surprised the mileage was so good.
2. ACC – Learned to really like this in most situations – open highway is good for not going too fast. It was found to work well on winding mountain roads using a truck as a “guide car”. The speed limit was 60, but there were many 25 mph curves. The truck in front of us clearly knew the road and when to slow down. We let it control our speed and it made for an easy drive.
3. Climate control is great.
4. The only hitch of the trip was getting caught in a hail storm on I-80 in Wyoming. There were a fair number of small scratches on the driver’s side, probably due to the wind. Traffic pulled over to the side of the road to wait for him.

Question: I feel a very quick vibration when braking. I don’t know if this is normal for Subaru ABS or if I may have a warped rotor. Estimated data.
