Just read an article on Torque news about the exciting technical service newsletter. I have a 2021 Outback XT. As highly recommended, I called my dealer (Royal Moore, Hillsboro, OR) the service rep was adamant that they do not do this “up to the customer” update. He explained that the only way he could do this is if we currently have problems with our display, I talked excitedly about all the cool new updates that would make my driving so much more enjoyable, (easier heating and controls AC/one touch heating Abbreviation for seat control/auto vehicle hold function etc) then he went on to say he doesn’t recommend it due to screen freezing, rearview camera lagging, etc ., etc. Jeez. Maybe I should call another seller. Has anyone heard from anyone who had a similar response from their service department? The article suggested that even if you are tech savvy, you should have it done by a vendor. Many thanks!!
We will be happy to hear your thoughts
