I’m experiencing that my transmission occasionally slips when simulating a gear shift.
It feels like a vibration with small jolts that only last for a fraction of a second.
It’s not frequent; it happens occasionally.
I know it’s the transmission because it only happens when I’m accelerating from 15 to 25 mph, driving forward, and it lasts as long as the gear change.
My question is, could the cause be a lack of transmission fluid, or is it necessary to replace the transmission filter and fluid?
I don’t think the previous owner changed the transmission fluid and filter before.
Important note. A week ago, the transfer clutch was replaced because the car was shaking a lot when crossing at low speed. However, this transmission slipping issue was felt before replacing the transfer clutch. I thought it was the same problem, and that replacing the transfer clutch would solve it.
