2019 2.5 Limited w/38k miles: continuation of an issue I’ve had in ’21 & ’22, where my Outback starts having performance issues, weak/loss of acceleration, hesitation, sputtering, loss of power under strain. In August ’22, dealership had vehicle for 6 weeks, recommendation from Subaru Technical Team was to replac the “NOC sensor” and did a carbon cleanout. Recommendation was to use “top tier” fuel (which I do) and run a tank of 91 Octane every so often, which I did for every 5th fill up.
July 2023: problem re-occurring, took back to dealership. (approximately 7k miles since last service) They are attributing it to vehicle needing another “carbon cleaning”, and telling me that I need to ONLY use NON-ethanol fuel going forward. I generally use e-10 ethanol fuel from “top tier” stations such as Costco/SAMS. Dealership says it is not “bad fuel issue”.

Just wondering what type of fuel other owners use? And do you have any performance issues?
Additional note: vehicle is NOT showing any type of error code. And I have 2 Honda vehicles that use ethanol fuel and do not have any issues with them.
